The secondproposal is a clinicalwork-
shop focusedon the still-unsolvedproblem
of the augmentationphenomena in rest-
less legs syndrome (RLS). Augmentation
is a severedrug-related exacerbationof
symptoms, occurring in the settingof
long-termdopaminergic treatment forRLS
and representing themain reasonof late
dopamine-agonists discontinuation.This
remains oneof themost recurrent challeng-
es in clinical practice and is still largelymis-
understood.This sessionwill alsoprovide
practical clinical guidelines to recognize and
manage augmentation.
