Section VIII. – Political Action Committee
(PAC) Breakfast
The AASM invites all members to the AASM
PAC Breakfast. During this event, political
experts will talk about the important health
care issues taking place in Washington, D.C.
and discuss the importance of having our
members participate in the political process. The meeting
will also demonstrate how the AASM PAC is an essential
part of our advocacy efforts. The cost of attending this
event is $50.00. Tickets are available during registration.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine Political Action
Committee (AASM PAC) is a bi-partisan political action
committee which assists in electing federal candidates or
legislators who are sleep medicine-friendly. This support
opens doors for expressing our viewpoints and the need for
and value of sleep care services for our individual patients,
discuss new delivery models of care, sleep research and
the sleep-related public health implications. By contributing
to the AASM PAC, members shape the outlook of sleep
medicine.
