In this session, faculty will discuss the following topics:
how to choose a home sleep apnea testing (HSAT) device,
aspects of scoring/interpretation, setting up an HSAT
program including quality control and accreditation and
considerations for using HSAT in the perioperative setting.

1. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of
different HSAT units;
2. Review aspects of patient selection, scoring and
interpretation for different HSAT devices;
3. Explain the critical aspects of setting up a HSAT
program, including the accreditation standards,
initiation and maintenance of quality control; and
4. Discuss use of HSAT in the perioperative setting.
