Self-care for Sleep Professionals During Difficult Times

April 1, 2020, 1 PM ET

COVID-19 has caused unprecedented disruption for sleep professionals, patients, and the public at large. Labs are closed, practices are scrambling, and the Sleep Team is socially distanced. Sleep research projects are paused. Industry commerce is reduced. Many professionals are tele-working, and all are working in new ways – often with stir-crazy children at home. The stress is real, as are the risks. Yet this too shall pass, and a bright future lies ahead. In times of crisis, sleep professionals need to be resilient. Fortunately, resilience is a skill that can be learned. In this free and highly practical webinar, sleep psychologist Dr. Emerson Wickwire will share strategies and tactics to enhance self-care for sleep professionals during difficult times:

  • How to maintain perspective
  • How to calm your body
  • How to manage fear
  • How to feel positive emotions
  • How to stay focused to accomplish your tasks
  • How to avoid boredom
  • How to maintain social connection
  • How to communicate with loved ones
  • How to enjoy life in difficult times
  • And more…
