Provisional Accreditation is available for new entities that have been open for a period of six (6) months or less. Provisional accreditation is granted for a period of six (6) months from the date of approval by the AASM Board of Directors. An application for Full Accreditation must be submitted within six (6) months from the date the provisional accreditation was granted. The entity must be open and seeing patients during the six-month provisional status to ensure all information relative to the Full Accreditation is available for evaluation. If an application for full accreditation is submitted within the six-month timeframe, provisional accreditation will continue through the Full Accreditation application period.
To participate in Provisional Accreditation, simply mark “NO” to the question “Has your business been open for 6 months or more?” on the Become AASM Accredited online application form when applying for a new accreditation application.
The Provisional Accreditation fee includes the Full Accreditation application that must be submitted within six months from the date the provisional accreditation was granted. The provisional accreditation fee is non-refundable.
