The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) is inviting public comment on draft chapters of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders, 3rd Edition (ICSD-3) text revision.
The public comment period is open for 8 weeks beginning Tuesday, May 17, and ending Tuesday, July 12. AASM members, nonmember health care professionals, patients, insurance companies, advocacy groups, professional medical societies, and other interested members of the public are invited to review the draft chapters and submit their feedback during this open comment period.
The goals of this text revision are to incorporate new information into the ICSD-3 text based on systematic literature reviews and to address existing omissions. These revised ICSD-3 chapters are in draft form and are still subject to substantive changes by the time they are published in final form. They should not be copied or disseminated until final publication.
All comments will be reviewed by the task force and workgroups charged with developing this revision. Changes to the drafts are at the discretion of the task force and workgroups, but all submitted comments will be considered and responses internally documented before the revised chapters are submitted to the AASM Board of Directors for approval for publication.
All reviewers are requested to complete a disclosure form:
